Bordeaux can also be white – and of the highest quality. From crisp, fresh Graves Blancs to complex, oak-aged premium wines: Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon provide aromatics, structure, and often surprisingly great depth. Typical notes include citrus, white flowers, grapefruit, yellow fruit, and a delicate mineral tension – depending on the style, either lean and elegant or creamy and long-lasting. Ideal as a food companion for fish, seafood, poultry, or delicate sauces.
