Château La Louvière

Château La Louvière lies in Léognan in the heart of Pessac-Léognan and is one of the historically important estates of Graves. Its terroir of deep gravel soils over clay and limestone provides ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. The red wines show clear structure, dark fruit, fine spice and elegant tannins. The whites display mineral tension, aromatic precision and remarkable freshness, typical of the region. Since its acquisition by André Lurton, the estate has been extensively modernised, while tradition and terroir remain central. Château La Louvière is known for authentic, harmonious and long-lived wines that perfectly reflect the pure signature of Graves.

Origin in Focus

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.

Stylistically, red Bordeaux wines are defined by a balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The white wines – usually made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and sometimes Muscadelle – range from crisp and citrus-driven to creamy and complex.
