Bürgstadter Pinot Noir 2023
Description
Description
The traditional Rudolf Fürst Winery in Bürgstadt (founded 1638) has long established itself as a leading Burgundy producer – from Pinot Noir to Chardonnay. The grapes for the Astheimer Chardonnay grow on shell limestone in Astheim, a cool limestone site right next to the Escherndorfer Lumpp. The vines were planted by the winery itself and originate from Burgundian clonal material.
100% Chardonnay. The 2023 vintage is tauter and more piquant than the more charming 2022 and comes across more like Chablis than Meursault – demanding, racy, and with electrifying energy.
