The Grande Cuvée is the classic of the renowned champagne house Krug. The champagne created in 2012 is a cuvée from 11 different vintages from 1996 to 2013. The base wine is traditionally aged in old oak barrels, which are responsible for the typical light vanilla note and the roasted aromas. The complexity of the champagne is achieved through the long maturation times: the champagne is stored on the yeast in the wine cellar for 7 years. The golden Krug champagne perfectly expresses the philosophy of the house and is one of the best sparkling wines in the world.
