Description

The family-run Weingut Weedenborn, located in Monzernheim, operates in the tradition of modern organic wines – close to nature, terroir-focused, and with attention to detail. Winemaker Gesine Roll relies on hand-picked grapes, natural vineyard management without herbicides, gentle processing, and precise cellar work that combines expression and drinking pleasure.

The 2024 Pinot Grigio from Weingut Weedenborn presents itself as a varietally typical white wine with outstanding drinkability. In addition to ripe apples and pears, fine aromas of fresh brioche unfold. The acidity is mild, yet discernible in play with fruit and spice. On the palate, the Pinot Grigio combines a certain lightness with significant substance, richness, and mellowness. This Pinot Grigio impresses with its fine spiciness and enormous drinkability.

Origin in Focus

Rheinhessen

Rheinhessen, Germany’s largest wine-growing region, lies between Mainz, Bingen and Worms and is shaped by gentle hills, fertile loess and limestone soils, and a mild climate. Versatile wines are produced here, above all fresh, often fruit-driven Rieslings and Pinot Blanc, as well as characterful Silvaner and increasingly exciting red wines such as Pinot Noir.
