Description

The 2022 vintage presents with youthful depth and aromas of black cherries, dark forest berries, violets, and wet stone. On the palate, the wine is firm and energetic with a fine tannin structure and chalky minerality. The cool fruit is supported by lively acidity, and the finish is long and clear, almost ethereal. A Blaufränkisch that speaks more of origin than of power.

Burgenland

Burgenland in eastern Austria is a warm, sun-rich wine region with diverse soils around Lake Neusiedl. It is famous for elegant to powerful red wines from Blaufränkisch (spicy, structured), Zweigelt (fruity, juicy) and St. Laurent. Thanks to the humid mists around the lake, outstanding noble sweet wines are also produced. Among the whites, Chardonnay and Welschriesling are particularly convincing, some matured in oak.
