Domaine Marie Courtin

Domaine Marie Courtin is one of the most exciting boutique producers in Champagne. Winemaker Dominique Moreau farms her parcels in Polisot in the Côte des Bar strictly biodynamically and mainly bottles single-vineyard and single-varietal Champagnes – mostly Pinot Noir, sometimes Chardonnay. Ageing takes place in stainless steel and/or oak, sulphur use is very restrained, and dosages are low to zero. The result is highly precise, mineral Champagnes with intense, often slightly spicy fruit, firm acidity and a clear imprint of Kimmeridgian limestone. Each cuvée – such as “Résonance”, “Éfflorescence” or “Concordance” – shows an individual character, is more vinous than merely pleasing and is aimed at demanding connoisseurs. For a premium online shop, Domaine Marie Courtin stands for artisanal top Champagnes with cult potential, ideal for explorers, purists and high-level food pairing.

Origin in Focus

Champagne

Champagne in north-eastern France is the home of the world’s most famous sparkling wine. The cool climate, limestone and chalk soils, and a long tradition of bottle fermentation shape its unmistakable style: tension, finesse and characteristic minerality. The main grape varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.
