Description
Description
Italy / Trentino
Ferrari Trento was founded in 1902. The founder, Guilio Ferrari, began producing sparkling wines that rivaled the quality of French Champagnes. Ferrari appointed Bruno Lunelli, a renowned winemaker from Trento, as his successor. Today, the third generation of the Lunelli family runs the successful winery. The main reason for the success of Ferrari's sparkling wines is the quality of the vineyards in the mountains of Trentino. This location, with its limestone and dolomite soils, is ideally suited for the production of complex sparkling wines. The warm afternoons followed by cool nights impart a great deal of character to the grapes grown here, distinguishing them from those of other plots.
