Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve 2017
Description
Description
The Domaine de la Vieille Julienne was built in the 17th century on the northern border of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the heights of the single vineyard "lieu-dit Clavin". The vines for the very rare, top-quality, biodynamic Côtes du Rhône are on average 85 years old! On the heights of the "lieu-dit Clavin", sand and red clay cover the soil and ensure vines that produce highly concentrated wines and are more comparable to a fresh Châteauneuf-du-Pape than to a Côtes du Rhône. The vineyard area is only 5.5 hectares and is only read manually. The grapes are gently transported to the winery in small harvest boxes.
