Domaine de Saint Dominique

Domaine de Saint Dominique lies in the Hérault in southern France and stands for characterful red wines with Mediterranean warmth and modern finesse. The vines grow on limestone and gravel soils that provide good drainage, ripeness and fine minerality. Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot come together in the cuvées, producing deep, concentrated wines with aromas of black berries, plum, garrigue herbs and subtle spice from ageing. On the palate they are full-bodied, with ripe tannins and harmonious structure, without losing freshness. Domaine de Saint Dominique offers powerful yet balanced southern French wines with plenty of character and pleasure at a still very fair price.

Origin in Focus

Rhône

The Rhône is divided into two distinctive parts: the northern Rhône, with steep terraces and a cooler climate, and the southern Rhône, with Mediterranean warmth and wide plains.

In the north, Syrah dominates, producing powerful, spicy red wines.

In the south, blends are the focus, above all Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, ranging from juicy and spicy to powerful and complex.

Well-known appellations include Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Côtes du Rhône, which stand for accessible, versatile wines. Herbal garrigue notes, dark berry fruit and fine spice are typical aromatic profiles.
