The 2014 Troplong Mondot has a refined bouquet of black cherry, raspberry jam and mineral aromas that gain intensity in the glass but are not overdone. On the palate it is medium-bodied with fine tannin. It is fresh and precise, then gives up the weight and concentration as it fans out on the finish, with a residue of white pepper that tingles the aftertaste.
