In the early 1980s, the passionate winemaker Bernard Magrez took over the château, which was named after the third owner, Pope Clemens V. He introduced eco-friendly viticulture and vinification by plot to express the exceptional terroir in his complex and elegant wines. For these efforts, the 2009 Pape Clement blanc was rewarded with the rare 100 Parker points.
