In the early 1980s, the passionate winemaker Bernard Magrez took over the château, which was named after the third owner, Pope Clemens V. He introduced eco-friendly viticulture and vinification by plot to express the exceptional terroir in his complex and elegant wines. These efforts were rewarded with the rare 100 Parker Points in 2010.
