Description

France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Margaux

The two families Mähler-Besse and Sichel have made a significant contribution to the international reputation of the winery over the decades with exceptional vintages. Today, Château Palmer is considered one of the leading Grand Crus of the famous Margaux appellation. The Alter Ego celebrated its debut with the 1998 vintage. This was made possible by the purchase of an 8 hectare vineyard. Since the Alter Ego grapes come from plots different from those of Palmer and it is produced with a different cuvée, Château Palmer does not see it as a second wine, but as an independent and unique wine. Château Palmer began converting to biodynamic viticulture in 2008 and, despite the considerable climatic challenges of recent years, impresses with wines at world-class level.
