Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Margaux
The two families Mähler-Besse and Sichel have significantly contributed to the international renown of the winery over decades with exceptional vintages. Today, Château Palmer is considered one of the leading Grand Crus of the famous Margaux appellation. The Alter Ego made its debut with the 1998 vintage, made possible by the purchase of an 8-hectare vineyard. Since the grapes for the Alter Ego come from different parcels than those for the Palmer and it is produced with a different blend, Château Palmer does not view it as a second wine, but as an independent and unique wine. Château Palmer began converting to sustainable viticulture in 2008 and, despite the significant climatic challenges of recent years, impresses with wines of world-class quality.
