La Dame de Montrose 2022 is the second wine of Château Montrose from Saint‑Estèphe. The cuvée is based on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose reveals dark fruit aromas such as blackcurrant and blackberry, complemented by subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is structured, with soft tannins and vibrant fruit. The clay and gravelly terroir of Saint‑Estèphe provides freshness and depth.

Château Montrose

Over two centuries, three owner families have shaped the history of Château Montrose. With passion and a tireless pursuit of the highest possible quality, they produced many legendary vintages.

In 2006, the third generation of the Charmolüe family sold the estate to Martin and Olivier Bouygues. Both loved the wines of Château Montrose and were aware of the potential of the site and its unique terroir. Under their leadership, the spectacular rebuilding of Montrose began.

The production buildings were renovated over seven years. Today, they consume 50 percent less energy than before the renovation. The estate’s cross-generational team is now led by Melissa Bouygues and Hervé Berland. Château Montrose owns 95 hectares of contiguous vineyards around the château.

There are no bad vintages at this château. If the grape material does not meet its standards, yields are uncompromisingly reduced and less wine is produced.
