Château Montrose 

Over two centuries, three owner families have shaped the history of Château Montrose. With passion and a tireless pursuit of the best possible quality, they have created many legendary vintages.

In 2006, the third generation of the Charmolüe family sold the winery to Martin and Olivier Bouygues. Both loved the wines of Château Montrose, they were aware of the potential of the site and the unique terroir. Under their leadership, the spectacular reconstruction of Montrose began.

The production buildings were renovated over seven years. Today they use 50 percent less energy than before the renovation. Today, the winery's cross-generational team is led by Melissa Bouygues and Hervé Berland. Château Montrose owns 95 hectares of vineyards in one piece around the château.

There are no bad vintages at this chateau. If the grapes do not meet the requirements, the yield is reduced without compromise and less is produced.

Bordeaux ist eine der renommiertesten Weinregionen der Welt – ein Name, der seit Jahrhunderten für Eleganz, Vielfalt und Lagerfähigkeit steht. Kies-, Lehm- und Kalkböden wechseln sich ab und ermöglichen feine Nuancen in den Weinen, die sowohl Terroir als auch Handwerk widerspiegeln.

Typisch für Bordeaux sind Cuvées, bei denen Rebsorten wie Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot und Cabernet Franc harmonisch zusammenspielen.

Stilistisch zeichnen sich rote Bordeaux durch eine Balance von Frucht, Struktur und Frische aus. Die Weißweine – meist aus Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon und teils Muscadelle – reichen von spritzig-zitrisch bis hin zu cremig-komplex.
