Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2016 L'Evangile has a deep garnet-purple color and opens with aromas of plum preserves, Black Forest gateau, black raspberries and hints of menthol, chocolate, licorice and tobacco. The palate is medium to full-bodied and is characterized by fantastically ripe, velvety tannins and beautiful freshness . It adds a lot of energy to the very long-lasting, mineral finish.
