Château L’Évangile is one of Pomerol’s most important estates and lies on the prestigious plateau, only a few steps from Pétrus and Cheval Blanc. Its terroir combines heavy iron-rich clay with fine gravel, ensuring optimal water regulation, depth and aromatic concentration. Merlot dominates, supported by Cabernet Franc, which brings freshness, structure and floral tension. The style of L’Évangile is marked by sensual opulence, silky tannins, dark fruit and subtle spice, always carried by impressive balance. Under the leadership of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), the estate has been thoroughly modernised without losing its characteristic elegance. L’Évangile today stands for long-lived, complex and seductively harmonious Pomerol wines.

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.
