Château L'Évangile 2014
Description
Description
In 1990, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) acquired L'Évangile from the Ducasse family and promised to continue the estate at the same high level. With a project to restore and partially renovate the vineyard, launched in 1998, the quality has increased even further. The vineyard now covers 22 hectares and consists of sandy loam soil with pure gravel on a subsoil containing iron residues. The varietals consist of Merlot (80%), which contributes to the wine's fruity flavor and body, as well as its distinctive smoothness, and "Bouchet", the local name for Cabernet Franc (20%), which adds finesse and structure.
