Château Léoville Barton 2017
Description
Description
Château Léoville has been family-owned since the 18th century and is now managed by ninth-generation oenologist Lilian Barton Sartorius. The vineyard is located in the heart of the Saint-Julien terroir, on one of the most beautiful gravel hills overlooking the Garonne and the Gironde. There is a high proportion of old vines of the traditional Médoc grape varieties. The winemaker places enormous importance on the terroir of the 50-hectare vineyard. She produces a true Saint-Julien of great finesse and perfect balance. Unusually, there is no château at the Léoville Barton estate – the wines are produced at the sister estate Langoa Barton, which is also depicted on the label.
