Château Leoville Barton Grand Cru Classé 2019
Description
Description
Château Leoville has been family-owned since the 18th century and is now managed by the ninth generation of the oenologist Lilian Barton Sartorius. The vineyard, located in the heart of the Saint Julien terroir, on one of the most beautiful gravel hills of the Garonne, overlooking the Gironde. The proportion of old vines of the traditional Médoc grape varieties is high. For the winemaker, the terroir of the 50-hectare vineyard is of enormous importance. She vinifies a real Saint-Julien of great finesse and perfect balance. It is unusual that there is no château on the Léoville Barton winery - the wines are made on the sister estate Langoa Barton, which is also shown on the label.
