Château Lafite Rothschild 2022
Description
Description
At the end of the 19th century, Baron James de Rothschild acquired the Château at auction, and it has been in the family ever since. The wines produced here are among the best and most expensive red wines in the world, with impressive consistency. Lafite Rothschild, the epitome of an elegant, powerful Bordeaux, can be aged in the bottle for decades. The secret to its outstanding quality includes the soil, deep gravel beds on limestone, the age of the vines, yield restrictions of 40 to 45 hectoliters per hectare, and the precise timing of the harvest. After fermentation, each barrel is inspected and tasted, and only the very best are used for the Grand Vin.
