Château Lafite Rothschild Premier Grand Cru Classé 2014
Description
Description
Baron James de Rothschild bought the château at auction at the end of the 19th century and it has been family-owned ever since. The wines that are produced here are among the best and most expensive red wines in the world and this with an impressive consistency. Lafite Rothschild, the epitome of an elegant, powerful Bordeaux, can be stored in the bottle for decades. The 2014 vintage is also considered a long-distance runner with great storage potential. Lots of rain, early flowering and warm temperatures marked a good start for the grapes. Harvested in multiple passes to use only perfectly ripe grapes for this great wine.
