Château La Mondotte Premier Grand Cru Classé 2014
Description
Description
The talented winemaker Stephan von Neipperg runs the 19th-century château purchased by his family. Long-lived wines under the name La Mondotte have been made here in their own cellar since 1996. The 4.5 hectare vineyards of La Mondotte are located on a clay-limestone plateau east of Saint-Émilion. This little gem of a vineyard has all the natural characteristics of a Premier Grand Cru Classé. The flat, barren soil ensures excellent water regulation, combined with excellent sunshine, the grapes can fully ripen and can be harvested under ideal conditions every year. La Mondotte has been organic certified since 2014.
