Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion
The talented winemaker Stephan von Neipperg manages the 19th-century château acquired by his family. Since 1996, long-aging wines have been produced here under the name La Mondotte in its own cellar. La Mondotte's 4.5-hectare vineyard is located on a clay-limestone plateau east of Saint-Émilion. This small gem of a vineyard possesses all the natural characteristics of a Premier Grand Cru Classé. The shallow, barren soil ensures excellent water regulation, combined with outstanding sun exposure, allowing the grapes to fully ripen and be harvested every year under ideal conditions. La Mondotte has been organic certified since 2014.
