The deep garnet-purple 2015 Haut-Bailly offers a tantalizingly spicy nose of unsmoked cigars and black truffle with a core of blackcurrants, black cherries and wild blueberries, as well as a hint of iron ore and bouquet garni. Medium to full-bodied, very firm yet wonderfully soft with a powerful core of fruit. The finish goes on and on with persistent earthy-mineral notes and piquant-sweet fruit.
