Neal Martin for Robert Parker
The 2014 Haut Bailly has a charming, quite intense bouquet with layers of blackberries, raspberry coulis, black olives and melted tar rising from the glass. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with supple tannins, well-balanced freshness, harmonious and focused with excellent density and precision in the finish. This wine has class and is, alongside the Domaine de Chevalier, one of the outstanding wines of the appellation in this vintage.
