Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Margaux
The vineyards of Château Giscours are located in the heart of the 400-hectare estate in the Margaux appellation. Here on the left bank of the Gironde, the up to 70-year-old vines stand on gentle slopes with deep gravel. This terroir is particularly well-suited for Cabernet Sauvignon, which makes up the majority of the Grand Vin's cuvée. Classified as a Grand Cru, the wine from Château Giscours is a remarkable representative of the elegance and finesse of the great wines of this prestigious terroir. The winery has been owned by the Dutchman Eric Albada Jelgersma for many years. After immense investments in the vineyard and cellar, Château Giscours is now equipped with state-of-the-art cellar technology, and the 43 vineyard plots are in the process of converting to particularly natural viticulture.
