Château Gazin 2014
Description
Description
At the beginning of the 20th century, Louis Soualle, the great-grandfather of the current owners, acquired Château Gazin. Since then, it has been owned by the Bailliencourts dit Courcol, one of France's oldest families. Château Gazin is located in the eastern part of the Pomerol plateau, where the soils are rich in iron-bearing clay and gravel. This special terroir provides the 35-year-old vines with ideal water supply, creating optimal conditions for perfect grape ripeness. The Château Gazin vineyard, large for Pomerol standards at 26 hectares, borders the vineyards of Châteaux L'Evangile and Pétrus. Gazin's exceptionally well-produced wines offer an attractive price-pleasure ratio and are a must-have for Pomerol fans today.
