Description
France / Bordeaux / Pomerol
Louis Soualle, the great-grandfather of the current owners, acquired Château Gazin at the beginning of the 20th century. Since then it has belonged to the Bailliencourts dit Courcol, one of the oldest families in France. Château Gazin is located in the eastern part of the Pomerol plateau, where the soils are rich in ferruginous clay and gravel. This special terroir supplies the 35-year-old vines with water and thus creates optimal conditions for the grapes to ripen perfectly. The 26-hectare vineyard of Château Gazin, which is large by Pomerol standards, borders on the vineyards of the châteaux of L`Evangile and Pétrus. Gazin's exceptionally well-produced wines offer attractive value for money and are now a must for Pomerol fans.
