Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Pomerol
At the beginning of the 20th century, Louis Soualle, the great-grandfather of today's owners, acquired Château Gazin. Since then, it has been owned by the Bailliencourts dit Courcol, one of France's oldest families. Château Gazin is located in the eastern part of the Pomerol plateau, where the soils are rich in iron-rich clay and gravel. This particular terroir provides the 35-year-old vines with ideal water supply, creating optimal conditions for perfect grape ripeness. Château Gazin's vineyard, large for Pomerol standards at 26 hectares, borders the vineyards of Châteaux L'Evangile and Pétrus. Gazin's exceptionally well-produced wines offer an attractive price-pleasure ratio and are a must-have for Pomerol fans today.
