Château d'Armailhac 2015
Description
Description
Ever since Baron Philippe de Rothschild took over the winery in 1933, the history of Château d'Armailhac has been inextricably linked to that of Château Mouton-Rothschild. The vineyards of the two châteaux border each other and are cultivated by the same team. The soils of the Château d'Armailhac vineyards are composed of light and very deep gravel on a clay-limestone base - the preferred terroir of the Cabernet grapes. Vines that are over 130 years old grow here, some of the oldest in the Médoc. The terroir and the old vines give the wines their elegant Pauillac character with concentrated aromas and a smooth texture.
