Château Coutet 2017
Description
Description
On their Premier Cru Classé-classified Château Coutet, brothers Philippe and Dominique Baly produce one of Bordeaux's best Sauternes wines. The estate, with its impressive 110-meter-long barrel cellar, is one of the oldest in the region. Its vineyards are situated between the Garonne and Ciron rivers, benefiting from the special microclimate and the autumn mists essential for producing noble sweet wines. The vineyard soils of limestone combined with oxidized iron give the wines their characteristic finesse and tension. Château Coutet produces a charismatic Barsac destined for long aging.
