Château Coutet Premier Grand Cru Classé 2015
Description
Description
The brothers Philippe and Dominique Baly produce one of the best Sauternes in Bordeaux at Château Coutet, which is classified as Premier Cru Classé. The winery with its impressive 110 meter long barrel cellar is one of the oldest in the region. Located between the Garonne and Ciron rivers, its vineyards benefit from the particular microclimate, the autumn mist necessary for the production of sweet wines. The limestone vineyard soils combined with oxidized iron give the wines their characteristic finesse and excitement. In 2015, the harvest lasted 28 days: the grapes were meticulously selected by hand in order to meet the brothers' high standards. A charismatic Barsac made to last a long time.
