The Gallo family has been closely associated with viticulture for over 100 years. Gianfranco, who has been running the family winery since 1978, has established himself as the grand master of white wines from Friuli. Gianfranco Gallo only produces single-vineyard wines with an extremely high quality standard. His wines are among the absolute best. The 2019 wine year began with a nail-biter. In May it was far too cold and far too wet for the vines. Then the weather changed, midsummer arrived within a few days and the conditions remained ideal until the harvest. The late harvest yielded fewer grapes, but of great quality - 2019 will be a classic, great vintage in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
