Cantina Terlan

Cantina Terlan, also known as Kellerei Terlan, has stood for outstanding Italian wine from South Tyrol since 1893. Premium wines with unmistakable character are produced here on volcanic rock – especially Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Lagrein. The combination of alpine climate, careful handcraft and long lees ageing gives the wines depth, precision and exceptional longevity. Terlan wines are authentic ambassadors of South Tyrol – elegant, mineral and timeless.

Origin in Focus

South Tyrol

South Tyrol, at the intersection of the Alps and the Mediterranean, combines cool mountain air with sunny days – a field of tension that produces lively, precise wines. On steep terraces and in mosaic-like sites, vines grow between 200 and over 1,000 metres above sea level; porphyry, dolomitic limestone, slate and moraine soils create styles ranging from taut and mineral to juicy and fragrant.

White wines are the calling card: Sauvignon with cool herbal freshness, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco with clarity and fine structure, plus elegant Gewürztraminer with aromatic fragrance. Among the reds, Vernatsch shines with delicate fruit and drinkability, while Lagrein delivers dark, spicy, textured wines with soft tannins. At higher elevations, increasingly remarkable Pinot Noir of finesse and length is also being produced.

South Tyrol is a landscape of pleasure where clear mountain profiles and Mediterranean lightness come together in the glass.
