Terlan Winkl Sauvignon 2023
Description
Description
Italy / South Tyrol / Terlano
The wine village of Terlano is located approximately halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano. The village and vineyards nestle against the steep, red porphyry rocks of the Tschögglberg on the left side of the Adige River. White grape varieties grow in the mountain regions up to 900 meters above sea level. This terroir, with its own unmistakable character, is shaped by volcanic soils and a very special microclimate. Over the centuries, the Terlano vines have adapted to this special terroir and developed their own unique, distinctive character. Wine has been grown on the steep mountains above Terlano for centuries, and the vines have been tended and cared for by the same farming families for generations.
