The 2018 Masseto is the surprise of the vintage. Rain came just before harvest, forcing the winemakers to make dramatic last-minute decisions and take risks. Masseto's expert team mastered these challenges with skillful precision. Dark fruits and ripe blackberries slowly give way to spices, leather, chocolate and sweet tobacco. The wine shows generous extraction and concentration , but still remains light and lively.
