Senses Wines UV - El Diablo Chardonnay 2019
Description
Description
The El Diablo vineyard, planted in 2008 by winemaker Ulises Valdez, is located on a ridge above Eastside Road in the Russian River Valley. Ulises Valedz believes that "when you work hard, the fruits always taste better." This is absolutely true for El Diablo. The grapes are hand-picked and harvested at optimal ripeness, then left on their skins for several days. They are then fermented with native yeasts from the vineyard, pressed, and finally aged for over a year in French oak barrels. Thomas Rivers Brown is responsible for the vinification in the cellar. He is the most sought-after winemaker in Napa Valley, with more than 25 of his wines having been awarded 100 Parker points.
