The 2021 Chancellor Pinot Noir is medium ruby-purple in color. It takes a little patience and a large glass to release fragrant aromas of black raspberries, rose oil and juicy cherries, resulting in hints of tar, crushed stones and black truffles. Floral-adorned black berry layers build slowly on the medium to full-bodied palate. Structured by wonderfully soft tannins, it finishes long and earthy. I love the unique characteristics that emerge here.
