Description

The Ruggeri Giall'Oro is an exquisite Prosecco that impresses with its fruitiness, freshness, and elegance. Its aroma is rich in nuances of Golden Delicious apples and acacia blossoms, presented in a delicate, straw-yellow color with green reflections and fine perlage. On the palate, it is delightful, balanced, and ideal for any time of day. The bottle should be opened just before enjoyment.

The grapes come from the renowned DOCG Valdobbiadene growing region in Veneto, known for its excellent quality and diverse microclimates, ranging from mountain ranges to coastal strips. Only Proseccos made from these grapes may be called Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore.

Ruggeri

This house is one of the reference producers for Prosecco Superiore from Valdobbiadene and has worked closely for generations with grower families in the region’s best hillside and steep-slope sites. The focus is on the Glera grape, sourced from carefully selected DOCG-certified vineyards, partly from particularly steep Rive parcels and the top Cartizze zone. The style shows very fine, persistent perlage, fragrant aromas of pear, apple, white flowers and citrus, along with precise, fresh acidity and creamy texture. Vinification follows modern methods, with cool fermentation and gentle secondary fermentation to preserve fruit, finesse and clarity. From straightforward Brut to harmonious Extra Dry versions and more complex vintage and single-site bottlings, the range offers Prosecco Superiore at premium level – ideal as an aperitif, with antipasti or with fine Mediterranean cuisine.

Origin in Focus

Venetien

Veneto in north-eastern Italy combines Alpine coolness and Adriatic mildness – ideal for a wide variety of styles. Famous examples include sparkling wines from the Prosecco area (Glera), fragrant Soave whites (Garganega) and Valpolicella reds from Corvina, Rondinella and other varieties. These include fruity Valpolicella, concentrated Amarone (made from partially dried grapes) and spicy, slender Ripasso. Fresh, versatile wines are also produced in the Colli Berici and around Lake Garda.
