Hospices de Beaune Corton Cuvee Charlotte Dumay 2016
Description
Description
The world famous Christian hospice in the town of Beaune on the Côte d'Or in Burgundy was founded in 1443 for charity. Since then, the income from the vineyards has been used to help the poor and to care for the elderly and the sick. Through donations and inheritances in the sub-areas Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, the vineyard areas increased steadily. In 1534, Charlotte Dumay donated valuable parcels in the Le Corton region, whose wines are now among the longest-lived and most structured of the Hospice de Beaune. The grapes for this cuvée come from 24 individual plots of the Corton-Renardes and Corton-Bressandes vineyards
