Domaine Y. Clerget Volnay 1er Cru Clos du Verseuil Monopole comes from a small walled single vineyard directly above the estate in Volnay in the Côte de Beaune and is made entirely from Pinot Noir. The nose shows red cherry, raspberry, a little rosehip and fine spice. On the palate it is precise and silky, with fresh acidity, fine-grained tannins and a mineral-driven, harmonious finish that clearly reflects the site's character.
