Description

Domaine Y. Clerget Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanee comes from a Premier Cru single vineyard in Chassagne in the heart of the Côte de Beaune and is made from Chardonnay. The nose shows yellow apple, ripe citrus fruit, a little white peach and fine floral notes. On the palate the wine is clear and structured, with present, well-integrated acidity and a mineral impression on the finish. It pairs with poultry, creamy sauces and fine fish.

Domaine Yvon Clerget

Domaine Yvon Clerget is one of the most exciting rediscoveries of modern Burgundy. After a careful relaunch, this small family estate from Volnay now shows a style that delights purists and pleasure-seekers alike: finely polished Pinot Noir, razor-sharp precision and fascinating finesse.

The wines combine the classic elegance of Volnay with crystalline clarity, impressing even when young while also offering great ageing potential. Yvon Clerget works with almost surgical precision in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar. The result is pure, silky Burgundies that count among the most sought-after insider tips of the Côte d’Or.

Origin in Focus

Burgundy

The Burgundy (Bourgogne) wine region is shaped by small parcels and historic vineyards. The focus here is on two grape varieties – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – which reflect soil, climate and craftsmanship with exceptional transparency.

Between Dijon and Mâcon, a narrow band of vineyards stretches for around 250 km, each with its own distinctive character.
