The 2022 Clos de la Bussière by Georges Roumier comes from the monopole Clos de la Bussière with clay-limestone soils. Fermentation takes place with approximately 55–60% whole clusters, after which the wine matured for 16 months in French barriques (approx. 30% new). Domaine Georges Roumier

Domaine Georges Roumier from Chambolle-Musigny is one of Burgundy’s most legendary producers and has stood for world-class Pinot Noir for decades. The domaine’s sites – including Bonnes-Mares, Les Amoureuses and Corton-Charlemagne – are among the finest terroirs of the Côte d’Or. Limestone-rich, mineral soils and the cool continental climate create ideal conditions for wines of exceptional precision and elegance. Roumier’s style combines depth, silky tannins and crystal-clear red fruit, carried by impressive tension and complexity. The wines have enormous ageing potential and are among the most sought-after Pinot Noirs in the world. The domaine is the embodiment of Burgundian refinement and terroir-driven craftsmanship.

Origin in Focus

Burgundy

The Burgundy (Bourgogne) wine region is shaped by small parcels and historic vineyards. The focus here is on two grape varieties – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – which reflect soil, climate and craftsmanship with exceptional transparency.

Between Dijon and Mâcon, a narrow band of vineyards stretches for around 250 km, each with its own distinctive character.
