The 2017 Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru Les Santenots-du-Milieu confirms its strong performance from the barrel and rises from the glass with aromas of ripe cherries, red berries, rose petals, orange peel and a hint of reddish new oak. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, rich and extract-rich, with melting tannins, juicy freshness and a charming, smooth profile that is hard to resist.
