Description
France / Burgundy / Côte de Beaune / Pommard
Located just outside the village center of Pommard, Domaine de la Commaraine is in every respect an outstanding winery with a beautiful château. The purchase of the idyllic estate by Americans Denise Dupré and Mark Nunelly in 2017 made headlines, because although Pommard has a long historical presence, it was overlooked by wine collectors for many years. Today, Pommard captivates fine wine collectors. The walled vineyard, shielded from external influences, is ideally suited for natural viticulture and is now managed accordingly. Following the inaugural 2018 vintage, the 2019 is a more than worthy successor – a fantastically successful wine with an extremely limited harvest quantity.
