Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2016 Pontet-Canet exudes wonderfully fragrant notes of rosehip tea, lilac, cinnamon stick, cloves, dried leaves and undergrowth with a core of cherry, raspberry coulis, warm plums and red and black currants and a hint of pencil shavings. The palate is medium-bodied, refreshing, mineral and wonderfully elegant with a well-balanced texture of pleasant, soft tannins and a long, fragrant finish. Beautiful.
