Description

France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Margaux

The "La Mothe de Margaux" (the Margaux Hill) estate has been known since the 12th century. The Premier Grand Cru Classé winery is also referred to as the "crown jewel of the Médoc," and its wine is considered a prime example of elegance and finesse. The 2015 vintage was bottled in a special commemorative bottle in honor of the winemaker Paul Pontellier, who passed away in 2016. The black, screen-printed bottle bears the inscription "Hommage à Paul Pontellier" on the base. This 2015 Château Margaux is a painfully beautiful farewell to an incredibly talented winemaker who left us far too soon. For many wine lovers, this vintage alone will be worth more than an investment.
