The 2017 La Violette is medium to deep garnet purple in color and sails out of the glass with expressive aromas of baked plums, blueberry jam and blackberry pie, as well as hints of spice cake, box of chocolates and cinnamon powder. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers enveloping black fruits with a firm, fine-grained frame and a long, fragrant finish.
