Description

France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion

Gracia is a true garage wine. It is made in the picturesque village of Saint-Émilion in a tiny space down a tiny back alley. The estate is owned by Michel Gracia, who knows everything about Saint-Émilion and knows everyone. This is partly because he is also a builder and stonemason and has worked for many of the top wineries, including Château Cheval Blanc and Petrus. In 1994, Michel Gracia started his own winery when he purchased a small 1.5 hectare plot of vines on great terroir near Château Troplong Mondot. In 2001, Michel Gracia added another 1.3 hectares of vines to his estate. Yields are very low from the vines, some of which are over 40 years old, producing highly concentrated wines in small quantities.
