Château Cos d'Estournel 2014
Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Saint-Estéphe
The Château is named after its owner Louis Gaspard d'Estournel, whose travels to the Orient significantly influenced the design of the estate and earned him the nickname "Maharajah of St. Estèphe". Visitors are greeted by the "Indian elephant" statue as they approach the Château, and the elephant is also present in the beautifully designed tasting room. Michel Reybier, who has been the owner since 2000, has remained true to Louis Gaspard's avant-garde style. Furthermore, he has massively increased the quality of the wines; Château Cos d’Estournel was awarded its first 100-point rating by Robert Parker in 2009.
