The 2014 Cos d'Estournel is deep garnet purple in color and offers slowly developing aromas of blackcurrant, plum and blackberry, as well as nuances of pencil shavings, dried lavender, bay leaves and a hint of iron ore. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with muscular, youthful fruit and a firm framework of grainy tannins and endless freshness, finishing long and tasty.

Louis Gaspard d'Estournel inherited Cos d'Estournel in 1791. Convinced that the hill's terroir was exceptional, Louis acquired the neighboring plots to expand his estate to 45 hectares.

The Bordeaux Classification of 1855 classified Cos d'Estournel as a Deuxième Cru. The owner since 2000 has been Michel Reybier.

The wines of Cos d'Estournel are characterized by their depth, complexity and elegance. They arepraised for their ability to evolve over timeand gain depth and character. Cos d'Estournel also produces a second wine called "Les Pagodes de Cos", which is also of high quality.
